A Casper woman was inspired to create a Facebook group to encourage health care workers during the increasing cases of COVID-19. She understands how hard they are working during this challenging time.
Shannon O’Quinn, the admin of Casper Healthcare Heroes, said she got the idea from seeing Casper health care officials get interrupted at a public meeting. She made a few yard signs to support health care workers around town.
“I got 50 signs and thought it was way too many,” O’Quinn said. She ran out of them two days later and received a donation of thousands of dollars for more. Community members can pick one up at the YMCA of Natrona County.
The group requested t-shirts which a community member is making. They are also collecting donations for meals for health care workers. She adds this group isn’t about just money, food or signs.
