Casper, WY – The City of Casper announced that a downtown alley paving project will begin, with construction expected to continue through Oct. 30.

The project will affect the alleys between First and Second streets and between Center and Durbin streets.

Funded through the Natrona County one-cent tax, the project will include repaving the alleys, improving drainage, reducing flood risk and installing solar wall-pack lighting.

Construction will be completed in two overlapping phases, with the second phase expected to begin approximately one week after the first.

Residents and visitors should expect alley and sidewalk closures, along with traffic control on nearby streets while the work is underway.

A public meeting regarding the project is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at CitiWerks, located at 136 E. Second Street.
