CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Police Department and the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office announced that agencies across Natrona County will host the 5th Annual Police Week Block Party on May 13.
The free event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at David Street Station and is open to the public.
Held during National Police Week, the block party is intended to give community members an opportunity to interact with law enforcement in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.
Officials said the event will feature a free barbecue served by agency leadership, along with a live DJ, children’s games, face painting, and giveaways. Patrol vehicles and specialized equipment will also be on display for attendees to explore and ask questions.
Casper Police Chief Shane Chaney said the event provides a chance to connect with the community and recognize partnerships that contribute to public safety across the county.
Organizers said the annual block party continues to grow and serves as a way to strengthen communication, visibility, and relationships between law enforcement and residents.
Community members are encouraged to attend with their families and participate in the event.
