Casper, WY – According to the state officials, in his statement, the Governor emphasized his vigilance regarding the concerns raised by neighboring property owners and the potential national security risks associated with the operation.

Expressing satisfaction with the Administration’s recognition of the potential threat, Governor Gordon underscored the importance of safeguarding military installations and ensuring the safety of Wyoming residents. He reiterated the imperative of prioritizing the protection of infrastructure to uphold national security.

Furthermore, Governor Gordon extended gratitude to Senator Nethercott for sponsoring SF077 – Homeland Defense-Infrastructure Reporting and Investigating. This legislation, effective July 1, empowers counties under the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security to investigate land transactions near critical infrastructure, providing vital guidance and support in combating foreign threats.
