Casper, WY — Rocky Mountain Power reported a power outage impacting more than 7,500 customers across the south, central, and southeast parts of Casper on July 28, 2025. The utility company expects to restore power late in the afternoon.

During the outage, the Casper Streets Division reminded residents to treat intersections with non-functioning traffic lights as four-way stops. Officials urged drivers to slow down, stay alert, and exercise caution while crews work to repair the streetlights and restore power to the community.

No injuries or further incidents were reported in connection with the outage. Rocky Mountain Power crews remained on site throughout the day to address the issue.

Residents affected by the outage were encouraged to report any urgent concerns to Rocky Mountain Power and to remain patient as restoration efforts continued.
