Casper, WY – The City of Casper Fire-EMS Department participated in a multi-agency hazardous materials drill in coordination with BNSF Railway, focusing on strengthening the Local Emergency Response Plan (LERP).
Officials said the training provided firefighters with a unique opportunity to practice response techniques using real rail cars and equipment, helping improve preparedness for potential hazardous materials incidents involving rail transport.
The department expressed appreciation to BNSF Railway for its partnership, noting the collaboration supports ongoing efforts to enhance safety and coordination between agencies.
