The Bureau of Land Management is performing a prescribed burn in the Big Piney area, according to social media post by the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office.
The fire is in the pine grove area and deadline ridge area west of Calpet. The burn will be 60+ acres, and black smoke can be expected for a week.
“We are aware of the fire and Sublette County Unified Fire will monitor as well,” said the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office.
