Casper, WY – According to the state officials, Veterans Talking to Veterans is a vital initiative offering a weekly platform, both in-person and online, where veterans can engage in supportive coaching groups led by trained VTTV coaches.
These sessions provide a safe environment for veterans to share their experiences and receive valuable support.
Notably, veterans participating in VTTV have the opportunity to undergo training to become certified trauma-informed coaches themselves.
This enables them to extend mental health support to their fellow veterans and their families, contributing to a network of care and understanding within the veteran community.
The program’s reach has recently expanded to encompass 12 communities, including the Department of Corrections, underscoring its growing impact and significance.
An upcoming event will mark a milestone as 18 individuals graduate as VTTV coaches, with the honor of receiving diplomas from none other than the Governor himself, who will also deliver a keynote address.
Governor Gordon expressed his administration’s unwavering commitment to addressing veteran suicide and supporting the mental health needs of veterans.
