Wyoming will extend a requirement that requires people to wear face coverings in indoor public spaces

Casper, WY – According to the statement, people 12 years old and above are required to wear masks through February 14.

The Coronavirus situation in the state has improved, but the health officials are concerned about the “UK variant” of the virus which is more transmissible.

The health officials have reported that this variant was confirmed in Teton County last week. But, you shouldn’t be worried, because both the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are thought to offer protection against the UK variant.

According to the officials, 28,889 people had received a first dose of a COVID vaccine in Wyoming as of Thursday, according to the Wyoming Department of Health. 48,575 first doses have been received. The state has received 18,000 second doses, of which 4,525 have been administered.

Indoor gatherings will allow groups up to 25% of a venue’s capacity or up to a maximum of 250 people. Outdoor gatherings of up to 500 people will be allowed.
