Confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have increased to 404 in Wyoming as of 3 pm Wednesday, April 29, according to the Wyoming Department of Health.
COVID-19 related deaths remain at 7. “Probable cases” in the state also remain at 140.
“Probable Cases include a total count of people who are identified to be a close contact to a laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case AND develop symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days, but are not tested. This count includes probable cases that have recovered,” the WDH says.
Statewide, 371 people are considered recovered from the virus, including 269 with a confirmed case. 9,299 tests have been completed through the Wyoming Public Health Laboratory, commercial labs and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
“A case is defined as recovered when there is resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and there is improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g. cough, shortness of breath) for 72 hours AND at least 7 days have passed since symptoms first appeared,” says the WDH.
Natrona County cases remain unchanged at 39 confirmed cases and 10 probable cases of COVID-19. Recoveries in Natrona have increased to 32. That includes 24 with a confirmed case.
