Casper, WY – According to the statement, that brought the total to 43,151 confirmed COVID cases in Wyoming since the pandemic began. Our state has been adding an average of 184 new confirmed cases per day over the last seven days.
Unfortunately, the Wyoming Department of Health reported 21 new COVID related deaths. The state has reported 571 total COVID related deaths since the pandemic began.
286 new recoveries from lab confirmed cases were reported Friday, bringing the total to 41,326. Probable case recoveries rose by 66 to a total of 6,990.
Governor Mark Gordon’s office said:
“Beginning on January 26, indoor gatherings that incorporate social distancing and face coverings are permitted for up to 25 percent of capacity or 250 persons, and outdoor gatherings of up to 500 persons. Other restrictions, such as the mask mandate, will remain in effect until at least February 14.”
Note that the department marks people as recovered once their isolation order date has expired. People who test positive are asked to remain in isolation until 10 days since their first symptoms or 10 days after their test was taken, or longer if they are still showing symptoms.
