Casper woman creates virtual craft fair

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, craft fairs have had to change. Last weekend’s craft fair at the Casper Events Center even had to be cancelled, which disappointed many craft vendors.

Juliann Harvey owns Studio X Designed, which primarily makes school gear. She was one of the disappointed craft vendors, but this inspired her to create a new venue for craft vendors.

She created a website for local craft vendors to join because she wanted vendors to still be able to sell their goods and interact with vendors. Any vendor that has been signed up for a craft fair in the near future is eligible to join.

Harvey said, “I’m really just trying to get people to shop locally, but in the means that we usually do with such things as Amazon or something like that.”

There are future plans to have online gatherings for customers and vendors to interact that Harvey calls “happy hours.” The first one is scheduled on Black Friday.
