The state will be easing some COVID-19 restrictions in the state beginning February 15

Casper, WY – According to the statement, the restaurants, gyms, events and performances will see some restrictions relaxed. But, the state’s mask mandate will remain in place.

The Wyoming Department of Health explains changes that will be part of the new health orders starting Feb. 15:

  • Public Health Order 1
    • Groups of eight will be allowed to sit together in restaurants and theaters (increase from previous limit of 6)
    • Gyms: limit of one person per 120 square feet will be removed (six feet of social distance will be required)
  • Public Health Order 2
    • Gatherings without social distance: limit will increase to 25 people (up from 10)
    • Indoor event size limits: 25% of venue capacity with a maximum 500 people (up from 250)
    • Outdoor event size limits: 50% of venue capacity or up to 1,000 people (up from 500)
    • Sports and artistic performances: participants will be allowed to congregate in groups of up to 25 people (up from 12)
  • Public Health Order 3
    • No changes
    • Order relates to salons, tattoo shops, massage therapy, etc.
  • Public Health Order 4
    • No changes
    • Order requires people 12+ to wear face coverings in public spaces

The new public health orders will be in effect from Feb. 15-28.
